BOOM has a reputation for sponsoring some of the most awesome talented skateboarders in New Zealand and Australia. Currently, there are several New Zealand and Australian skaters on the BOOM team, all of whom push themselves to progress both their own skill level and the level of skateboarding in general. The main ways of getting recognition for themselves and the company are through entering and winning (hopefully!) competitions, thereby gaining media exposure with their performance photographs being published in the skate press. The Boom skateboarders regularly win national and international skate comps. BOOM has sponsored New Zealand champions Andrew Morrison and Chey Ataria, and its current team have consistently achieved placings in competitions in New Zealand and Australia.
