[top] Competition Terms & Conditions We want to run fair and equal comps - unfortunately, there are some conditions that we need you to agree to so that we are all clear about what is and what isn't acceptable. By entering any of the publishers (see 1 above) advertised competitions, you agree; 1) Not to submit any material (written, recorded audio or video, designs or graphics etc.) or information (whether personal data or other) that is illegal, unlawful, false or that breaks any copyright or other third party contractual agreement. 2) That you consent to your details being held on computer(s) of our choosing (in accordance with our privacy policy described above). 3) That we may use your information for publicity purposes. 4) That we may use your information to provide additional services, and/or to communicate special offers to you, that you may unsubscribe from at any time. 5) The publishers reserve the right to entirely cancel any competition or to change any competition rules and or the associated prize(s) at any time without giving notice. 6) In the event of any dispute regarding the rules, competition notice, conduct, results and all other matters relating to any competition, the decision of the publishers shall be final and no correspondence or discussion shall be entered into. 7) To enter a competition you must be aged 16 or over at time of entering the competition. If you are under the age of 16, you must seek your parent or guardian's permission before entering and your subsequent entry will mean you have been given permission. For skate comps, you should attend ONLY if your parent or guardian has given express permission for you to do so. Your parent and /or guardian and / or authorised supervisory adult (someone appointed by your parnts / guardian as your authorised guardian) MUST be present if you are under the age of 16 and you wish to ENTER into the skate comp. If you do not have permission, your entry and/or application will be cancelled / and or prize(s) will be withdrawn. 8) The publishers reserve the right to disqualify any entrant if it has reasonable grounds to believe the entrant has breached any of these terms and conditions. In such a case, any prizes won be the disqualified entrant shall be forfeited (and returned to us if they have already been presented). The next runner-up entrant, chosen by the publishers, shall be announced the winner. 9) The publishers shall appoint a judge or panel of judges where appropriate which may change without notice. Prize winners will be chosen from all qualifying entries within 28 days of the closing date, or unless specified. The decision of the judges / publishers shall be final and no correspondence or discussion shall be entered into. 10) Prizes are non-transferable and there is no cash alternative. The publishers reserve the right to substitute prizes of equal or greater value, model, colour and size at any time. 11) Entrants agree that personal safety shall remain the responsibility of the entrant at all times. Entrants agree to disclaim the publishers of any liability for any accident, damage, loss, injury, death or disappointment (whether physical, mental or emotional) suffered by any entrant either before, during or after any competition hosted by the publishers (whether online or on location). The entrant agrees to take all necessary precautions to protect themselves. 11.b) The publisher cannot be held responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer on-line systems, servers, or providers, computer equipment, software failure of any email or entry to be received on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the internet, telephone lines or at any web site, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to entrant's or any other person's computer or mobile telephone related to or resulting from participation in any competition. 12) One entry per person. You MAY NOT enter multiple times by using ficticious names, or by providing false information. By entering any of our competitions, you hereby warrant that all information submitted by you is true, current and complete. Failure to observe these rules may result in the removal of your entry (see above). 13) By using this site and entering into any competition (by whichever means), you warrant that either you have legal capacity to enter the competition and agree to the rules (i.e. that you are of sufficient age and mental capacity and are entitled to be legally bound in contract) or your parents or guardian have consented to your entry of the competition and use of these rules. 14) Competition entries must be made in the manner and by the closing date specified. Failure to do so will disqualify the entry. 15) If the competition is entered via an SMS entry system, you accept that your telephone company may charge you for doing so; and that you are aware of this cost; and that you accept this cost and will not hold the publishers liable for any of these costs. 16) You must have the mobile telephone bill payer's permission to enter the competition. 17) Proof of texting / emailing cannot be accepted as proof of entry. The publishers cannot accept responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft, destruction, alteration of, or unauthorised access to entries, or entries lost or delayed whether or not arising during operation or transmission as a result of server functions, virus, bugs or other causes outside its control. 18) The Competition and the terms and conditions of this agreement will be governed by New Zealand law. 19) Any failure by the winner to comply with any of the Terms and Conditions within this and the associated documents will result in cancellation of their prize and reissue of any remaining prize to a new winner.
