The concept is very straightforward: The more you do online, the more points you can earn! The more points you earn, the more free product you can get! You can earn points: For Every purchase you make For referring friends who create an account with us When your referred friend buys something from us For writing a product review See below for the full details. Other ways to earn points will be announced soon. Once you've earned the points, you'll be able to use them to pay for your purchases on our website. The Reward Point Program was last revised on Friday 13 November, 2009 Sounds Awesome, How Does It Work? Start by creating an account on our website and we'll give you a small welcome credit just for signing up! (If you already have an account, don't worry, we will be crediting your account over the coming weeks - watch out for the email!). You can also earn points whenever you place an order. Each product listing on our website displays the number of points you can earn when you buy that product. The more you buy, the more points you will earn! The total order value* will be used to calculate the amount of points earned (see the Points Summary question below for curent values). You can also earn points in a number of other ways described in more detail below. The points that you earn are added to your Rewards account in a "pending" status, until approved by our Admin team. Points usually remain "pending" for 30 days in cae of returns, refunds or cancellations. After 30 days, your points will be available for you to use on your next purchase! You can login to your account at any time to check the status of your points, although we will email you when your Rewards account has been updated. Once your points are approved, just browse our online-store and at the checkout, you'll be able to pay for your order with some or all of your points** accordingly. * in most cases shipping fees and taxes are excluded. See the referring FAQ below for more details. **Some redemption dates restrictions apply see Q7 for details Earn Points On Purchases Currently, for every $1.00 spent at The SK8Factory you'll earn 1 point(s). Each point valued is rounded to $0.04c each - or if you would prefer - 3.5% of each purchase. For example:           If you buy:  $100.00 worth of product.           You will earn:  100 point(s)           To the value of:  $3.50 Once these points have been approved, you will be able to redeem them when you shop - see below for details. Note that the rate shown here will always be the current and correct rate, so do check back to stay informed of any changes. Last updated: Friday 13 November, 2009 Earn Points For Referring Friends "Word-of-mouth" advertising is the most powerful form of advertising there is! We want to grow our website community and we would love it if you could refer a friend or even 10 friends - or more to The SK8Factory! Not only would we love it, but we will PAY you too! NOTE: You MUST have an account on our website in order to earn points! Create an account first? How do I earn points for referring friends? We will pay you (the amounts are detailed below) when your friends create an account using you as their referral. When they are creating their account, at the "how did you hear about us" question, your friend must select > "Friend Told Me" and insert YOUR email address in the box so that we can credit their sign up to you. We'll give you $10 worth of points when a total of 5 of your friends sign up referencing you. When the next 5 people have signed up referencing you (a total of 10 of your friends), we'll give you another $15 worth of points (that's $25 total worth of points for each 10 people who sign up!). For every additional 5 friends you get to sign up after that, we'll give you an extra $20 worth of points! Wow! That will soon add up to a lot of free stuff! 1-4 sign ups = $1 each signup 5 sign ups total = $10 bonus points (on top of that already earned) 10 sign ups = $25 bonus points (on top of that already earned) Each 5 sign-ups thereafter = $20 bonus points per block of 5 additional sign ups (on top of that already earned) When you reach 50 sign ups = BONUS $50 worth of credits (on top of that already earned) When you reach 100 sign ups = BONUS $300 worth of credits (on top of that already earned) We will also pay you when your friend first buys something from us! During the checkout procedure, on the "Payment Information" page, get your friend to insert YOUR email address in the box so that we can credit their purchase to you. We will credit your account with another 50 Rewards points when your friend places their first order! When we receive your referred friends account sign up, mailing list join up or completed and approved order, we will apply Reward points to your account. You can earn these referral points for each friend you refer to us! Just make sure that they quote your email as the reference when they sign up!! Last updated Thursday 28 May, 2009 Earn Points For Writing Product Reviews "Write a review and earn Shopping Points." Sharing your knowledge and opinion of our product will not only help us to continually improve our offers and services, but it will also help others to choose the right product and be able to buy with confidence. For each "quality" review you write, we will award you with $0.35c. Your Review must meet all of the following conditions: Your Review must be original. It should be focused and concise. It should not duplicate content already published. Must be truthful and objective. Should not include spam, commercial or advertising content or links. Reviewers must actually have bought the item in question either online or from one of our retail outlets. Reviewers can submit a maximum of 4 reviews per each month Reviews must meet the Terms and Conditions of our website. The SK8Factory reserves the right to refuse or remove any review. Our editorial staff reserve the right to correct misspelt words, grammatical errors etc. Last updated Saturday 16 May, 2009 What Is The Minimum Purchase Amount Required Currently, there is no Minimum Purchase Amount required to redeem your points. Any changes to this policy will be reflected here. Last updated: Saturday 25 October, 2008 How Do I Redeem Rewards Points Points & Rewards is currently operating normally. Approved points that have been credited to your your Rewards account can be used to pay for all purchases made at our online store, including delivery / shipping charges. During the checkout procedure, on the payment page, your points balance will be displayed. Just tick the box to use your points for your purchase. If you have more points than the value of the goods, we will deduct the corresponding number of points as shown to pay for your order. If you do not have enough points in your Reward account to cover the cost of your purchase, you will need to select a supplementary payment method to make up the difference: e.g. if the total order value of your purchase = $100, and you have a points balance valued at $60, the total outstanding amount to pay will be $40. This is explained clearly at the checkout and once at the Order Confirmation page, you'll see a breakdown of the points redeemed. Once you confirm your order, your Rewards account will be updated and the points used deducted from your balance. Maximum Points Redemptions per order Currently, you may redeem a maximum of 1,000 points ($35.00) per order. Any changes to this policy will be reflected here. When calculating the amount of points earned, all items which have been discounted are currently included in the rewards program. Any changes to this policy will be reflected here. Last updated Saturday 25 October, 2008 Will I Earn Points When Purchasing With Points? Yes, purchases made whilst redeeming points will be rewarded with new points, however, only the total monetary value actually spent will be used to calculate the new points entitlement and not the total amount prior to the redemption of points. For example, if the order total is valued at $100 and you have paid for this using $60 of points value, you will only earn NEW points for the remaining $40 of monetary spend. Please note, you'll still have to select a supplementary payment method if you don't have enough Reward points in your account to cover the cost of your purchase. Last updated Friday 01 August, 2008 What Are The Terms And Conditions Of Use The Rewards Program is only available to registered member's of The SK8Factory. If you are not yet a member, create an account today and we will gift you some points to get you started! Reward points can only be collected and used online (sorry, currently we are unable to award or redeem points at our retail outlets). Points are non-refundable and cannot be transferred between members. Reward points have no monetary value and cannot be exchanged for cash. If an order is cancelled, the associated points for that order will be be deducted accordingly. When redeeming points to make a purchase, you may still have to select a supplementary payment method if you do not have enough points in your Rewards account to cover the cost of the purchase. When calculating the amount of points earned, shipping fees and taxes are excluded (unless otherwise indicated above). The SK8Factory are the operators of this Reward scheme and we reserve the right to cancel or make changes to the Rewards Program and to the Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice or liability.
